Dark Star Orchestra has been playing live shows together since 1997, after guitarist [[John Kadlecik]] contacted keyboardist [[Scott Larned]] with a concept (introduced by a common friend Andrew "Tiny" Dofner): performing complete Grateful Dead shows out of history.
